Vox Pop - "Voice Of The People".

The word Vox pop comes from the Latin phrase vox populi which means "Voice Of The People". Vox pops is a tool which media intuitions use to show the opion of the public. How this is done, is that media intuitions ask random subjects questions about a certain topic or debate so that they can share there opinion as the voice of the public, then the different reposes will be editing in such a way to reflect the debate for and against.

For example the above video is looking at the topic of "what is broadband?" this is used to show the audience the knowledge the general public has about broadband.

When making a Vok Pop you need to take into account that you need to interview a range of races and also a mix of gender to make sure that the argument does not look bias and also that the appropriate to the population being surveyed.

Also when interviewing, use open-ended questions so that the person you are interviewing can give a clear response to the topic.
