For this task we were asked to think of the type of program that would fit this title. The program would be aired on a channel which is aimed at 25-35 years olds below is my initial thoughts to what type of program it could be.

Relationships - could be relationship help and FAQs

Girls or Boys – Sitcom about living without the opposite gender – or Reality TV?

Gadgets – Review of gadgets

Shopping – Credit crunch helping program

Ingredients – Cooking program

Jukefood – Healthy eating program

After reviewing my brain storm I think that “Do I really Need Boys?” would be a good program for me to look into. From researching such programs as Sex and The City , Lipstick Jungle, No angles . Which are all sitcoms about girls who talk about problems with men and how they deal with them. Girl’s sitcom Sex and The City has a big fan base so, “Do I really Need Boys?” could get some of the programs fan base as it’s the same type of genre. Also this type of programming would fit into the 25-35 target audience as the audience can relate to the program (Blumer & Katz Uses and Gratifications Theory) to there social life’s.
